Thee Shams are a swamped out psychedelic garage blues band from Cincinnati that ingest as much vitality from Howling Wolf and The Yardbirds, with some of the more tripped out scenes of the nuggets box sets. With Zac Gabbard’s gravel RnB throat, Thee Shams are a band to get down and groove with, as they toss in harmonica’s and hip farfisa swells into the grinder. Thee Shams hit with some hard edged blues, but can shake it up with all out ‘lets get pissed’ party freak outs. Thee Shams will get you ass shaking and the booze flowing, a class act.

‘The Sights’ have taken their rough and tumble airs into action, scorching shadows with the likes of The Small faces, The Who and The Jam, but also not afraid of burning up some blues. They roast with a riot of handclaps, harmonies, memorable guitar and slick organ. Garage pop seems the best way to describe this superb combo, as they have the rough and ready edges of the garage rockers, but back it up with some great tunes and melodies. Eddie Baranek (also a former member of Ko and the Knockouts) ability to switch between melodic vocals, to full on soul adds to the bands appeal. Keep it catchy with a strong beat and hip licks, this is The Sight’s secret and with everything they’ve released, who can argue with them.
