The statiks are Jon Wiltshire - guitar and vocals, Rick Sullivan - drums. A band (well sort of) from the local Town of Colchester that have caught our ears recently, a two piece based around the talents of the two.The Boys have a solid base for a much rockier future, songwriting and the knack of stitching it all together is not god sent, it takes energy and that is more than evident on the two track Demo we have been taking time out to listen to 'The Kind Of Love' is a passionate slice of guitar fueled rock -pop,the guitar riff/strumming really an outstanding asset on this tune and Jon can sure sing.

retro romp

'This Is Not Your House' weather intentional or not opens with a very retro sounding guitar, this however does not lead into some retro romp, it leads into more of a similar vein of 'Kind Of Love' , but that 60's guitar sound stays with the track on and off, 'This is not your home' really showcases the band's vocal work.There's lots to be done in the way of production here and a more intense studio work out might make this into one hell of a tune , for the time being this is one Colchester band that I hope we hear more of...............
