The Voice of an angel, sweet soulful full of female Britpop Goodness, yeah that would be Newburys The Shake,we came across this band a fair while ago and have finally taken the time to write about really special Soulful band. Fronted by the very talented Faye Hurst, the band first came to our attention through the ear bending vibe first release 'Troubled Scene' a smashing slice of warm soul fronted ,picky guitar riffs and burning keyboards, yes that made us tap our feet .Released by Rowed Out Record last year..A Blinder..

60's bubble gum pop, the better bits of Britpop

And its never lets you down the other track that we heard was 'Pound Signs' another slab of neat Guitar Indie soul pop, this band have bridged many style here, combining all that was good about 60's bubble gum pop, the better bits of Britpop '94, the energy of The Rifles and the On-offs and then mixed all up to give you a rip roaring pleasant sound.There is no doubt that this is a team effort but you would have to be deaf to not hear that the bands main asset has to be Faye.Often seen walking the boards of London venues both as the main act and have supported some big name as well and they are currently writing new tunes.
