Well for start, let's get one thing sorted, Rick has not lost that knack, the tunes that we have heard on 'year of the Rat' are fast pumped pop tunes, the title 'Rat' has jutting guitars and a fast paced angry backline and vocal, it's on 'Torn up memory' that the Witter voice stands head and shoulders above the rest of the tune, you can't help that ,with such a recognizable voice, indeed this could well be a Shed tune.'Flying Blind' is full of trick's that Rick has learnt, the band is tight as you'd expect, there's no surprises there.
