Colchester, Garrison Town, home of a Football Team and possibly one of the busiest indies scenes in the UK. Colchester Art's center being a great starting point for Local bands and UK Tour bands as well.Throw in that little Club Twisters and the Uni and it hey ho lets go..

Its a fun English sound

Colchester band Neat People are a mix of very different sounds others have sited XTC and Dexys being heard in the style and yeah to a degree the XTC knack of Quirky Pop songs could well be in the mix here.It's a fun English sound but it's not remade or rehashed Britpop, this goes beyond that in the way the Kinks did in the 1960's and the likes of Supergrass did in the mid 90's.Sensible pop and just maybe Fun.

some neat harmonies and nice guitars

We listened to 'Albert Le Blanc' for starters a keyboard filled romp through some neat harmonies and nice guitars, nothing threaten's here it stays the line by being nice .'Spoonful Of Loving' starts to break the slow start of 'Albert' yeah this aims firmly between the eyes of Pop but it almost pushes it further the Keyboard once again pushing the tune along with style.

the penny drops for us

It's when we hear the bands most recent release that it all comes together and the penny drops for us, yeah 'Baby I'm Bored' rips and roars it's way around for just under 3 mins, 3 mins of crashing and bashing Guitars,the whole tune stomping along very nicely thank you, yeah this just maybe the perfect pop song.
