Was'Foundation' really that ground breaking, we look at the most quirky sound so far this year, the tune that stormed the UK chart is...Talent or flash in the pan.."You say I must eat so many lemons because I'm so Bitter"

Kate Nash has been a busy girl , tours galore , friends in the right places, doing Later with Jools Holland, indeed very busy.Mentioning influences such as John Cooper Clark it seems the little lass from Harrow London- Superb tune hit all the right spots with 'Foundation'.

Her first UK release was the double A 'Caroline's a Victim'/Birds bought fourth a heavy sythn sound with pounding drum and her ditty voice, little else and it hardly set the UK charts on fire, what it did do was to take the cover off a really interesting lady with a unique style/story telling stance with a sreet-wise twist. 'Birds' however was so different to the flip A-Side, very folky, with basic Guitar, and some of the most well thought lyrics I have hard from someone of 21 ...yeah both tunes matched up well.

It started to really come alive

It's Foundation's that really did the job, with the groundwork being done through MYSPACE and local gigs, the charm well and truly made us all look up,it all started to come alive and I can't be the only one who tapped his feet.Yeah the Buzz around Kate was moved fast by the record company to (Cash In) on the rising stars big Hit..

she'll become a border name of the year 2007

Play opens the Album it's short tune but sets the pace for the album. It's a kinda Hip Hop-Blur groove, if all you ever heard before this was Foundations then your either gonna shocked or your gonna see past the quirky Foundations . Highlights of this debut are well placed and Dickhead ,it most def rates as top track, Birds we have spoken about above and Skeleton is almost tounge in cheeck lyrics, but it's all good. The 12 songs are diverse, very catchy in a young blood vien, if all the Foundation jumpers can take the time to listen to her work she'll become a border name of the year 2007.. it's a breath of fresh air in a sometimes dull UK charts, how do you class Kate Nash..Um that's easy KATE NASH .
