Yowl, where have these boys been hiding, or has Sohostrut been caught napping.Being in the main a Colchester based site, I thought we knew all about the local scene and to be frank most of it we ignore, but then we find ourselves woken by..FUZZFACE..A Colchester band with an amazing singer in the form of Adrian Johnson who can really soulfully work the tunes well. I simply love the Guitar work Yeah indeed this is "Good-time Hammond driven Rock 'n' Roll" as it says on their web site.I simply love the Guitar work on'The Autumnal'.The other tune that was played to me was 'Sunday Morning' crumbs what could I hear in there ? big hints of fellow Colchester mega type Blur for sure, with great hints of Humble Pie style vocals and Keyboards and WHO type Guitar thrashes..Wow.. For a band that inc all the above as influences, well it really works and you end up with a one off Mod-Soul-Indie sound. A one off deal Hip Oxford-based indie label shifty disco, have put out "The Relegation Song" for download only and it's doing well we hear ,tours and esp home gigs at Colchester's Arts Centre have been going great with the Arts Centre always selling out. A Local band for Sohostrut and a band we should all watch climb up wards.
