The Futureheads
News and Tributes

The self-titled debut,of Sunderland-based pop band the Futureheads , gave the music scene one of the best Albums of that year. Step up News and Tributes how does it taste

Gone are the roaring foot stompers

The difference here is lots of the songs seemed toned down perhaps ready for a new market .Gone are the roaring foot stompers and a new style (ish) it is not a familiar sound."Area" the last single gave visions that this may be shit hot But it's not, its Warm, but don't get me wrong this is one fine Indie-pop album."Yes/No",starts the vibe it's like a guitar-vocal Brawl-good stuff. The production on this does not go for a Guitar/Vocal chant, it's watered down. Some of the songs and indeed the production throw forward a sound not heard before from the band.It is a diverse album, it covers plenty of corners of Pop.But how does it taste ?

very sharp-catchy

The album may introduce fans to a much slower and less attacking Futureheads, but these boys always seem to know how to show you around the house of Pop and you will put in the full asking price every time.. News and Tributes is still very sharp-catchy-no let down there. "Skip to the End" manages to do what it says on the tin, the band are in fine tune and rave track for me oh yes. So do I like this album, yeah of course I do, it's a move forwards, it lacks the play yourself to the death style of the first, but we have all gotta get some rest in some time. It taste Nice.
