What do I like about The Colt 45s ?
Is it that almost 'Kids' type keyboard sound that opens the band's demo on 'Crack Can Kill You' or is it the naive/churing sounding Keyboard on 'Andy Get Out Of Bed' I really don't know, it all sounds very DIY--Garage but hey it works really welll enough, enough to make us wanna write about the un earthing of this Durham Band..

It's very hard to pin sound on
There's little in the way of Energy here at least not in Thrashing Guitars and Stomping Bass lines mode, but what 'get and go' there is come's across in the Vocal style of Anne-Marie, I love the way the band never breaks any speed-limits which does make a change to most of the bands we get to hear here on SS.
It's very hard to pin sound- style -influence on The Colt 45's ,think early Punk era, sown with some elecrto-pop , which is very evident on 'Heart's Still Beating' the joint vocal work here gives a deeper insight into the band, I'd like to hear more songs with that vien if they have any.Yeah good stuff indeed ....
